Let's Explore the Forest
Titi has read all about the forest and its wild animals. Now she can't wait to explore the real thing for herself.
Let’s Explore the Forest Than Sovandara
Titi lives with her parents in a small village in the forest.
Through her books, she learns about the forest and the wild animals that live there. "The animals in these books are so interesting," Titi says to herself. "Wouldn't it be great if I could see them in their natural habitats?"
When Titi's parents go into the forest to pick vegetables, Titi asks if she can tag along. Maybe if they let her, she will be able to see some wild animals. "Sorry, Titi," her mother says, "You're still too young."
After her parents leave, Titi sees a deer. It's coat is very unusual. "Maybe," Titi says to herself, "I should follow it."
Titi grabs her backpack and runs after the deer.
"Huh," Titi thinks. "Where did that deer go?"
As she looks around, Titi comes across another interesting animal...
...and another! "You're a pangolin," Titi says. "I can tell because you use your long tongue to eat insects."
"And you must be a bear," she says. "I can tell because of your brown fur and big body."
"Well, hello!" says Titi. "You have a long trunk, big ears, and a huge body. You must be an elephant."
All of the animals are just as curious about Titi as Titi is about them.
After a bit, the wind whips up and a hard rain begins to fall. Titi takes shelter under a big rock. "How will I get home?" she says. "The sky is getting darker and the rain isn't letting up."
The animals watch Titi from a distance.
Slowly, they begin to walk past Titi. Titi decides to follow them.
The pangolin rolls along the path, showing Titi the way so she doesn’t trip.
The bear uses its big body to push through bushes and clear a path for Titi.
And the elephant, with its great strength, moves trees that have fallen across the road.
After a while, Titi reaches her village.
She thanks the animals and says good-bye.
Titi knows how lucky she is that the animals helped her. Now, when she wants to see her wild animal friends, she goes into the forest with her parents.
